New York City’s latest transplant arrived in the city today deciding to ride atop a 747 rather than inside. With the conclusion of NASA’s shuttle program announced, NASA’s Space Shuttle Enterprise flew up and down the Hudson getting a sneak peak at its future home, the deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The weather cooperated after multiple postponements and it provided the perfect opportunity to produce some once-in-a-lifetime images. After the flyby, the shuttle landed at JFK where it will wait to be shipped up the Hudson River this summer to its new home.
